Akira Kamoshita (鴨下 あきら (かもした あきら) Kamoshita Akira) is an editor at the Otowa Publishing Company. He requested Kindaichi's deduction skill through Yosuke Itsuki in order to get the newest work of Goryu Tachibana.
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Kamoshita gives a weak first impression as he's often shown with a nervous face. He's afraid of Goryu Tachibana's wrath and tells Kindaichi to apologize to him even though Tachibana is the one who did the wrong things first in order to still get the rights to the newest work.
History[]
Through Itsuki, he is the person who asked Kindaichi to decipher Tachibana's code. After the incident, he's asked by Itsuki to collect information and found out that Tachibana's new work was about the medical world.
Angered by Tachibana's behavior, Hajime retaliates and angers him, resulting in his publishing company's rights being taken away. He demanded an apology from Kindaichi to have it revoked. Because of that, Kindaichi went to the study and ended up being accused of murder.
Although it is not directly depicted, when the manuscript was published as Tachibana's posthumous work, Tsuzuki's name was corrected to the initial "T" at Itsuki's request.
