Alchemy Murder Case is the 7th case in Kindaichi Case Files : New Series.
Story[]
At Kenmochi's request, Hajime is asked to participate in a summer vacation special quiz show. He wins the qualifying round and gets the right to cross to Renkinjima, a solitary island said to contain 300 million yen worth of gold. Miyuki also accompanies her as a part-time assistant. The island is said to have been visited by a mysterious scientist, Claude Ezaki, to study alchemy, and then disappeared.
Just as the treasure hunt is about to begin, AD Takuya Mayumura suddenly disappears. When Kindaichi and the others check the cameras in the hall, they see an eerie monster, and Mayumura is found dead.
The monster "Alchemist", who is said to be the end of the scientist Ezaki, has begun to move aiming at the lives of people involved in the program. Wary of the phantom, everyone closes the door of the room and takes precautions, but in the midst of this, a second victim appears. The person who was with the corpse in the victim's room was Reika Hayami, a popular idol and one of Hajime's friends.
