Story[]

Kindaichi, who wants funds to charge for social games, is introduced to a high-paying part-time job by Yosuke Itsuki.

It is a monitor for a psychological experiment conducted by a university professor who is an acquaintance of Itsuki. The place where it takes place is a former military accommodation facility, commonly known as "Antlion Trench," built in a desert-like place dotted with quicksand.

In addition to Kindaichi, Miyuki, and Itsuki, 7 other monitors were gathered, and each was dressed in various colored clothes to participate in the experiment. However, one of the monitors, Izumi Ayase, was killed by someone in a space isolated from the outside world.

Anyone can commit a crime, and everyone begins to fall into suspicion. Meanwhile, the monster "Antlion" lurking in the quicksand slowly sets its sights on its next prey.

And behind the scenes, "that man" was pulling the strings.
