In Japanese, this case called 怪奇サーカスの殺人 (Kaiki Saakasu no Satsujin).
Story[]
Hajime Kindaichi visits Akane Island for a club training survey. There, he meets a circus group whose tents have been ransacked by unscrupulous persons!! There is a creepy message, "Monster is back" along with giant footprints. The next morning, they found the corpse of a clown who had been hit by a 400 kg drum. From tracking, Hajime came to know about a circus member who disappeared a year ago and was nicknamed the Fire Giant. Plus, the Monster that Hajime witnessed doing the second kill, managed to just disappear from the locked room!!
