Bob Davis is a Los Angeles Police Department detective and one of the suspects in Ghost Hotel Murder Case.

In order to find out where Jim Chipper's money was handed over, he comes to the Franklin Hotel, the stage of this case, with Akechi and Patricia. He seems to be a former weightlifting champion, and has said that Akechi may not be able to compete in strength. He seems to be divorced or single.
He's later revealed to be the culprit of this incident, "Ghost".
In fact, Ken Murata, was Davis's son and was trying to get revenge against Chipper, who killed him in this incident. Ken's mother, his wife, had been divorced nine years ago.
Five years ago, when he was staying at the hotel with Ken, when he was away from the hotel for investigation work, the fire broke out and his son was killed by Chipper. However, the reason why he decided to kill him was that he couldn't forgive Chipper, who was laughing without guilt, let alone having his son killed, as his parent.
