Broken Heart Lake Legend Murder Case, alternatively titled The Legend of Lake Hiren is the sixth case in Kindaichi Case Files : File Series.
In Japanese, this case called 悲恋湖伝説殺人事件 (Hiren-ko Densetsu Satsujin Jiken).
Story[]
Miyuki's cousin shows up one day and gives a ticket for a yet-to-be-opened lake resort to Miyuki, telling her to find a guy to go in his behalf, and Hajime eagerly takes the ticket. Hajime and Miyuki reach the campground at Lake Hiren, which is located in Nagano, alongside several others, as a test tourist group, not knowing the resort itself is actually the stage for an upcoming serial murder case.

Cases[]
First Case[]
During breakfast on the second day of the tour, Shotaro Kujo, the tour guide from Mitsuki Travel Agency notices that amongst the guests, only Soichi Kurata, a college student, hasn't appeared yet for breakfast. While eating, Miyuki and fellow participant Sayuri Kawanishi notices a group of crows is hanging around a tree above them. Trying to shoo the birds, Hajime kicks the trunk of the tree but Yosuke Itsuki, a freelance writer shows him a much more efficient way to kick the tree trunk. After that, Kurata's body collapses on the breakfast table.
Second Case[]
On the third day, Seiko Kayama, the wife of Saburo Kayama, tells everyone that her husband had left the resort and tries to escape through the forest. She tries to blame Kujo for not being able to protect the guests while Itsuki tells the others about Jason and being a jerk to all of them. While he enters the main room, he notices that the room has been ransacked. Hajime also finds a 10.000 Yen bill stuck on the fridge. He opens the fridge only to find Kayama's freezing dead body comes out,
