As it turned out, the one who stole Miyuki's panties is none other than Hajime Kindaichi himself. To create an alibi during the time of the crime, he used a burnt hook to change the hour time of the receipt from 13 to 18, and bought the juice from the vendor midway from the campsite. In order to throw suspicion of himself, he placed the stolen watch in a crow nest, while hiding the incriminating evidence, the panties, under his cap.
Nevertheless, Miyuki and the girls catch on and confront him at the toilet area, resulting in Hajime being beaten up by the three of them. Though Miyuki claims that she only suspected him due to "woman's inituition", it's also likely that she noticed Hajime wore his cap in the opposite direction after supposedly coming back from buying the juices.
