Drifting Fire Fox Murder Case is 3rd case in Kindaichi Case Files - Returns Series.
Story[]
While cleaning the room with Miyuki, Hajime finds a photo of a Cub Scout he belonged to six years ago. At that time, there was an incident in which 10 Cub Scout buddies were all together, and a telegram arrived to Kindaichi, who was nostalgic.
It was the obituary of Marika Tsukie, one of his associates. In order to attend Marika's funeral, Hajime visits Marika's Byakko Village alone, where he reunites with his old friends.
However, one of his associates, Rin Kiritani, informs him of the shocking truth about Marika's death.
She died two months ago, and she was killed by someone. Rumor has it that the village was cursed by the "Fox's Wedding", and it is said that he didn't do a fragile investigation even though he was stationed there.
At Rin's recommendation, Kindaichi joins the white fox village festival "Fox Fire Nagashi". Based on the legend, one group of friends is killed one after another. Kindaichi is confronted with the ruthless reality that the culprit is among his former Cub Scout comrades.
