Eisaku Iwata 岩田 英作 (いわた えいさく) is the butler of Daisuke Mimasaka and later Midori Mimasaka and one of the suspect in Treasure Island Murder Case. He's the caretaker of the treasure hunt held in Hiho Island.
Appearance[]
Eisaku Iwata has a pale skin with short white (gray in the anime) hair and black eyes.
He wears a simple outfit consisting of a white shirt, a black tie and white pants.
Personality[]
On the surface, Iwata is depicted as a nice, faithful and helpful towards most of the guests at Hiho Island. He is horrified when he found his former boss mutilated corpse inside a pendulum clock.
As tension rises due to the increasing numbers of murder, he becomes increasingly aggressive towards Chris Einstein, whom he suspect to be Kyosuke Saeki's son Koichiro Saeki. He's revealed that he's is also one of the people blinded by treasure.
He was also being pursued by the police on suspicion of the Setagaya-ku insurance money murder. He acted like a good old man, but as soon as the truth was revealed, he suddenly changed like a different person. he shot Koichiro with his rifle and injure him. He tried to kill everyone and monopolize the treasure, but Kaya, who showed her true identity as a detective, fired a gun from a box and cornered him instead.
When he was shot in the shoulder by Kaya, he staggered and touched the treasure, which triggered the mechanism of the cave collapse, and he died under the fallen mountain child statue. In the anime version, the eyes were without highlights, and the sudden change flag was raised properly. In the drama version, he survives but is arrested.
