Manga/anime differences[]
- Eisaku Yuki doesn't appear in the anime either.
- Changed Masako Suwa to Masako Inoue.
- The scene of preparing for the trip at the beginning is cut.
- By the time Kindaichi arrived at the Tarot Villa, Reika was taking a bath. Therefore, the timing of Tsuji's appearance was changed immediately after Ichitatsu arrived. Also, the scene where Hayami removes the film from Itami and Hojo's cameras is cut.
- Itami realizes the true identity of Hayami's owner while making dinner.
- Since Yuki doesn't appear, the case that Itami covered in the past was changed from Opera House Murder Case to Hida's Trick of House Murder Case.
- The past three incidents that Itami talked about have been reduced to two. A passer-by is also described as a person accidentally shot dead by the police while chasing a robber. However, the description suggests that it is male.
- Takishita doesn't hit as hard as in the original.
- Itami is killed because he said, "I want to get along with Reika-chan."
- There is no blood on the "Wheel of Fortune" tarot card stuck on the door of Itami's room.
- The scene of confirming the alibi after Itami's body was found was cut.
- When Hajime used earphones to hit Hayami, Reika found it as a lost item in the original and showed it to everyone, but in the anime version, Hajime shows Hayami his earphones when inspecting the scene of Itami's murder.
- Changed the tarot commentator from Yuki to Hojo.
- Changed the watchman of the fireplace from Mr. Yuki to Tsuji as in the drama version.
- Changed that President Akama was threatening to make Reika his own.
- Takishita, Kojo, and Inoue do not appear in the scene where Reika leaves President Akama.
- Right before he was murdered, President Akama snores without singing "Sometimes like a prostitute."
- Cut the interview scene of Kojo's recollection.
