Fuyumi Yashiro (社 冬美 (やしろ ふゆみ) Yashiro Fuyumi) is a high school student and one of Hajime Kindaichi's old friend from Yukikage Village.

She used to be a quiet girl with glasses, but when she met Hajime again, she had become a beautiful woman. However, she has a tough personality. She was aiming for an entertainment agency in Tokyo, but she was killed by an arrow stabbed in her neck on a cherry blossom morning. Just before she died, she was crying in her room, blaming herself.
In the drama version , the president of an entertainment production company in Tokyo deceived girls who wanted to be actresses like herself and made them work for free.Because she was involved in the case and killed at that moment, Inspector Kenmochi said, ``It is highly likely that the president of the entertainment production company killed Fuyumi in order to keep her mouth shut, because he was afraid of being sued for a class action lawsuit.''
