- Inspector Kenmochi appears instead of Kyoko Kaya.
- Retitled Inspector Kenmochi's Secret as a set with the next episode "Accomplice X". Kenmochi seems to have stayed in a room on the top floor with someone. That will be revealed in the next episode.
- Kenmochi happens to witness the crime scene during his stay and cooperates with the investigation.
- Along with that, a setting that was not in the original was added to Kenmochi, "fear of heights".
- In the original work, Hajime interviewed Beniko and Midoriko by himself, but in the anime version, Inspector Kenmochi is also present.
- Saki does not appear. As a result, Inspector Kenmochi plays the role of Kashiro instead when solving the mystery, and it is discovered that he has a fear of heights.
- The reason for identifying the suspect changed from DNA profiling to Boy's eyewitness testimony.
- Midoriko Kirisawa stays on the 24th floor.
