Hida's House of Trick Murder Case, alternatively titled (incorrectly translated) The Headless Samurai (飛騨からくり屋敷殺人事件 Hida Karakuri Yashiki Satsujin Jiken) is the ninth story arc of the File Series of The Kindaichi Case Files and the ninth main story arc of the entire story.
It follows Hajime, Miyuki, and Kenmochi going to Kuchinashi Village after getting information from Kenmochi's old friend, Shino Tatsumi, who receives the threatening letter from the Head Hunter Warrior. There they found the headless body inside the unique locked room at Tatsumi Family's residence. They have to prevent another murder committed by the Head Hunter Warrior.

Hajime reveals the killer to be Shino Tatsumi, he also reveals that the headless body of Saburo Akanuma wasn't his, it was Seimaru's and also reveals that Seimaru was never Shino's son and Ryunosuke is her biological son. Shino confesses that Seimaru was actually Ayako's son, after giving birth to Ryunosuke, she switched Ayako's baby (Seimaru, possibly the original Ryunosuke) and her baby to have a better life and she only killed Seimaru because of his mockery just like Ayako back when she and Shino were in school and Hajime also reveals that Saruhiko Senda was Ryunosuke's biological father and came to blackmail Shino.
