Personality
Kenmochi is usually seen wearing a yellow suit. He is also physically strong. Kenmochi has reasonable experience as an inspector. However, his deductive skills are not that impressive. He has trained many budding detectives and knows many people. A good-natured person, he cares a lot about his family, and is a great colleague and friend.
Relationships
Hajime Kindaichi: Kenmochi often asks for Hajime's help in solving difficult cases, promising him some treat afterwards. In turn, Hajime seeks Kenmochi's help whenever he faces hindrances during mystery solving. They share a close bond, and are sometimes mistaken for being relatives. Hajime calls Kenmochi 'Ossan', meaning 'Uncle'.
Kengo Akechi: Akechi is Kenmochi's superior, despite being several years younger than him. They don't share such a pleasant relationship, and Kenmochi often gets annoyed at Akechi's attitude and sarcasm. Sometimes amused at Kenmochi's thinking and bickerings with Hajime, Akechi even said that he would never be bored with people like Kenmochi around.
