Kyoko Munakata (宗像 今日子 Munakata Kyōko) was the wife of Shiro Munakata. At the beginning of the Demon God Site Murder Case, it is believed she is the mother of Satsuki Munakata. However, it is revealed at the end of the case that, not only is Satsuki not her daughter, but that she had been dead for more than 20 years.
When she noticed that her husband was cheating on her with Yayoi Muranishi, she confronted her and the two started fighting , which ended with Kyoko falling down the stairs. After that Yayoi hid her death with the complicity of Shiro and they buried her body in the Majin village.
As she has been dead long before the beginning of the case, all her appearances are actually Yayoi wearing a veil and pretending to be her.

- The name Kyoko means "today" (今日) (kyo) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Kyoko's surname Munakata means "religion, sect, denomination, main point, origin, essence" (宗) (muna) and "image, statue, picture, figure, portrait" (像) (kata).
