- Changed names of some case characters, including the three engagement candidates and one of the terrorists.
- The codenames of the terrorists were changed as well.
- Hajime and Miyuki were discussing ancient civilization instead of astronomy in the novel.
- Added a scene where Suguru and Tsuyoshi Aizawa quarreled at the front desk of the hotel. Furthermore, Suguru appeared earlier than Tsuyoshi in the anime.
- Kaoruko Hoshino did not appear, and her role was taken over by Yuichi Shindo.
- The scene where Hajime rescued Mikoto from danger was omitted.
- Changed the relationship between the culprit and Morihiko Naguni.
- Changed the cause of death of Morihiko Naguni to illness.
- The victims' hearts weren't cut out.
- Kaneshiro's first name was added in the anime.
- Yuichi Shindo and Ken'ya Miyagaki weren't killed but were incarcerated by the police.
