Megumi Toma (当麻 恵 (とうま めぐみ) Tōma Megumi) is a detective and the first victim in Wax Doll Castle Murder Case.

Toma seems to know both Kindaichi and her grandfather Kosuke well, perhaps because she is in the same industry (strictly speaking, Kindaichi is still different).
When she was in college, she was a Medieval European history major, and she was has wide knowledge about witch-hunting. She is the first victim, she is stabbed to death in her heart as well as her doll.

- The name Megumi means "favor, benefit" (恵).
- Megumi's surname Toma means "this, hit, right, appropriate, himself" (当) (to) and "hemp, flax" (麻) (ma).
