Michio Akashi is a cameraman and one of the staffs of Masashi Hiruta. He's one of the victims in Snow Yaksha Legend Murder Case.

He is a man from Kansai region with a bad reputation for spending money roughly and doing sloppy work, but in addition to making a surprise device for Kano, he secretly filmed Reika Hayami's bathing scene, showing he's as perverted as the others.
In the anime version, the secret shooting scene was cut, so he is almost aired. He was the second victim, beaten to death, and found in a snowbank with dry grass still in his hand. It's later revealed that he's actually killed first before Rie Kano.
