Appearance[]

Miharu has light brown hair and a sturdy frame.

History[]

Miharu’s family wasn’t so well-off. They ran a small rice shop, and weren’t able to give her a chance to seriously pursue swimming as a career. However, her good friend Mitsuyo Nijieda invited her to join a swimming school. Mitsuyo’s parents even paid for her tuition. It so happened that Miharu was better than Mitsuyo at diving, and they were competing for a nomination to Fudo High’s famous swim team. Knowing this, Mitsuyo’s parents stopped their funding and the two girls’ friendship went downhill because of misunderstandings.

Motive[]

Miharu had always felt like Mitsuyo Nijieda was looking down on her for being poor. She was better than Mitsuyo in diving, and rightly deserved a nomination to Fudo High’s swim team. However, Mitsuyo won the nomination by her parents’ influence, and this angered Miharu. More so, Mitsuyo humiliated her in public by ripping the old swimsuit she was wearing.
