Mitsuko Kusanagi (草薙 三子 (くさなぎ みつこ) Kusanagi Mitsuko) is a character that appears in the Western-style Village Murder Case. She's the owner of the Plant House.

Personality[]
She lost her only son in an accident few years before the main story, leaving her as a delusional woman. She's a big cat lover, so much so that she grabbed the food at parties and gave it to the cats.
When Isshiki served a roasted cat at a party, she misunderstood it as he had roasted her own cat and tried to kill him. She is therefore accused of murdering Isshiki (but was refuted by Kindaichi as impossible due to her physique).
She was the fourth to die, she was strangled and her left leg cut off.

Fellow Western-style Village Residents[]
Some of the house owners of Hexagonal Village views her as delusional and annoying due to her bizarre attitude, even though she's one of the conspirators who killed the pastor couple and their daughters 27 years prior, such as Reiji Kabuto and Torao Isshiki. Juzo Tokita, Jun'ya Kazamatsuri and Ran Goto don't show signs of them annoyed of her.
Etymology[]
- The name Mitsuko means "three" (三) (mitsu) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Mitsuko's surname Kusanagi means "grass, herb, weed" (草) (kusa) and "mow" (薙) (nagi).
