Summary[]
Architectural styles[]
Namakubi Shrine has Nagare-zukuri, one of Japan's most common shrine styles. In contrast, it has a few compositions than the typical shrine. It has only the stone stairs and the Torii close enough to the Honden.
On the right side of the Namakubi Shrine is a cave with the Shimenawa. The warrior armor puts inside the cave. The worshipper seen put the offering in front of the armor.
History[]
400 years ago, after The Battle of Sekigahara, one of Ieyasu Tokugawa's military commanders, Kaneharu Hiiragi, with his retainers, fled and hid in Kuchinashi Village. The village headman agrees to their demand with one condition, his retainers have to kill their commander. One of his retainers was dead one year after Kaneharu's murder, with their head missing. The villager scared of Kaneharu's evil spirit, so they built the Namakubi Shrine and made the Namakubi Festival suppress its spirit.
Hida's House of Trick Murder Case[]
Namakubi Shrine was first seen at the beginning of the Hida's House of Trick Murder Case event. Ume Fuyuki, predominantly one of Kaneharu Hiiragi's descendants, found Kaneharu's armor missing from the cave beside Namakubi Shrine.
After that, Namakubi Shrine became the primary location of the second murder when the Head Hunter Warrior kidnapped Miyuki and Hajime to show them Saburo Akanuma and Seimaru Tatsumi's heads.
