Opera House Murder Case (オペラ座館殺人事件 Opera Zakan Satsujin Jiken) is the first novelization of the manga story arc of The Kindaichi Case File series, based on the story arc of the same name.
It follows Hajime Kindaichi, Miyuki Nanase, and all members of the Drama Club of Fudo High School rehearsing the Phantom of the Opera on Uta Island before performing at the National High School Drama Contest. When the storm strikes the island, one of the Drama Club members is crushed to death by the mysterious figure, Kagetsu, whose appearances resemble the Phantom of the Opera. They have to catch the mysterious murderer before he takes another life.
