Rokuro Yamashina (山科 六郎 (やましな ろくろう) Yamashina Rokurō) is an assistant inspector from Kyoto Prefectural Police and the main law enforcer in Kyoto Beauty Florist Murder Case. He appears after Sakurako Kyogoku's murder, in the fourth file of the case, in volume 29 of 37 year-old Kindaichi Case Files.

Rokuro Yamashina is a short middle-aged police detective in plain clothes. As opposed to other officers, his necktie isn't plain, but dotted with stars. He has laid-back short black hair, with some some hair turning white, and has small thick eyebrows. His face is long and shallow, with a pronounced forehead, and he has small eyes.

Etymology[]
- The name Rokuro means "six/sixth" (六) (roku) and "son" (郎) (rō).
- Rokuro's surname Yamashina means "mountain" (山) (yama/san) and "department/section" (科) (shina).
- His whole name is a play with the wards of Kyoto, as his name refers to the Yamashina Ward of Kyoto (山科−区 / やましな-く / Yamashina-ku).
