The Russian Mansion is a large building situated on an island in the Hokkaido Prefecture. It is the building in which the Russian Dolls Murder Case occurs.
It was built by a rich Russian merchant who moved to Japan and built to remind him of his hometow. It was filled with imported Russian furniture. Afterwards the mansion passed through numerous owners and once served as a hotel and once belonged to a Russian magician Yuri Ivanov. It was later bought by Mystery Writer Kosei Yamanouchi. After his death, it is where his will specified the contest for his inheritence would be held.
It is a large building with five tower, with the central tower, the biggest, having a large mechanical clock.
As the building once belonged to the magician, numerous tricks were built into it, such as one way mirrors and secret passages.
