Ryoko Saotome (早乙女 涼子 (さおとめ りょうこ) Saotome Ryōko) is a high school student. She became the heroine in place of Tsukishima, who committed suicide.
Appearance[]
Personality[]
She harshly treats Orie Hidaka, who can't act well, and in the end, she's an annoying selfish girl who says, "If you don't remove her, I'll quit the role of the heroine." She shows unusual fear that Hidaka and Kiryu will be killed, but in the drama version, Tomoyo Takashima takes her place. It was when Kiryu's corpse was discovered that he began to show a clear fear of death. After she was attacked, her selfish behavior and hysterical personality completely disappeared, and when she was gathered in her dining room, she was the anime version of her with a dejected look.
She's only one of Arimori's targets to survive. But out of the three, she is undoubtedly the one most responsible for Fuyuko Tsukishima's suicide.
She played her dangerous prank on Tsukishima, causing severe burns to her face and driving her to suicide by saying heartless words to her on the roof of the hospital where Tsukishima was hospitalized.
Furthermore, even after Tsukishima committed suicide, her harsh personality, such as abusing the people around him, did not improve, and he began to show impatience after Kiryu was killed, and when he received a threatening letter from the criminal, she approached Hajime and Miyuki for advice.
According to her official guidebook, she voluntarily dropped out of school because of her own remorse for this incident and is doing volunteer work visiting nursing homes around the country.
It seems that she always visits the graves of Arimori and Tsukishima on the anniversary of their death.
She also said that Inspector Kenmochi said, "The fact that Tsukishima was exposed to sulfuric acid was an accident,'' so the only punishment was an interview. She is one of the few surviving targets with a good conscience.
In the original story, after the incident, Miyuki expressed a sense of relief that Saotome was not found guilty, and she seemed to sympathize with Saotome, who cried bitterly after Arimori committed suicide.
