Ryuichi Rokusei was a serial killer and fake teacher who assumed the identity of the real teacher Susumu Odagiri, whom he had killed earlier and being referred as for most of the case.
He is the illegitimate son of Jun'ya Kazamatsuri and Shiori Rokusei, the only surviving daughter of a priest who was killed with his whole family by the people of the Western-style Village. He sought revenge to kill the whole village, except for Kazamatsuri, who had managed to save Shiori. He even killed his girlfriend Wakaba Tokita, and the unrelated Hisahiko Renjo, before getting shot dead by his father Junya.

The culprit of this case is the "seventh mummy". However, the name "Susumu Odagiri" is a pseudonym, and his real name is " Ryuichi Rokusei " ("Ryuichi Kanzaki" in the drama).

Regarding Miyuki, who was taken hostage at the end and taken to the cannabis field, it is unknown what he would have done if he had succeeded in burning the cannabis field without anyone coming. If he burns the fields, there will be no more use for him, but there will be no reason to kill her, and if, as he said, "I didn't feel like running away", then there's no need to kill unrelated Miyuki after all his goals have already been fulfilled. If she hadn't interfered, it's possible that Miyuki would have left him alone and committed suicide on the spot.
