Count Sébastian Rodolphe de Maigret is a French aristocrat living in Nagano Prefecture. Acquainted with Yurie Kimisawa, he is an amateur sleuth. He meets Hajime Kindaichi in the French silver coin case, but is shown to have less skills than him.
Appearance[]
History[]
He suddenly appears after inspector Kenmochi and Nagashima arrives at the French Hotel and points out that Naoko was the target of the culprit from the beginning to Hajime, who said, "I didn't know who was going to be targeted."
He then deduces that the culprit is already on the run, but this time he is dismissed by Kindaichi who states that the culprit is still in the French Hotel. However, instead of being angry, he is impressed and challenges him to a deduction match.
However, the reasoning was clear only at the beginning, and the rest of his deduction skill was unremarkable. For the time being, Kindaichi's explanation of the reasoning was understood relatively quickly, so the detective's face was barely preserved. Because of his mischievousness, even one person doesn't have a bad impression, saying, "He's prettier than that person ," and many readers want him to appear again.
Personality[]
He's quite handsome, but sometimes he has a rose on his head. He suddenly appears flashy against a glittering background, making everyone at the venue go crazy.
His rather eccentric behavior and the fact he wants to have a deduction match reminds both Kindaichi and Kenmochi of Kengo Akechi but with more comedic personality.
