Secret of the Cursed Letter is an Adult Mystery Solving Event of Kindaichi Case Files R. It was also the only event case for the 25th Commemoration Anniversary of the series. Collaboration Seimaru Amagi and Fumiya Sato with Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation & Keio Corporation. This event opened for free.
Story[]
Miyuki Nanase received a Cursed Letter from a mysterious sender, which warned her to contact him and the 5 people that could save her, or her secret would be lose. The letter also contained some mysterious codes and puzzles for her to solve, so she asked Hajime Kindaichi for help.
Considered they knew nothing about the sender of the letter, Hajime decided to follow the instruction, and gathered himself, inspector Isamu Kenmochi, superintendent Kengo Akechi, Yosuke Itsuki, and Ryuji Saki as the 5 people who could save Miyuki. However, Akechi needed to take a business trip suddenly, so Fumi Kindaichi joined the group as a replacement, and the 6 of them began their mission to solve the puzzles.
During their journey, the group headed to different locations for clues, but in each location, there would be a mysterious letter specifically left for one of them. After reading the letter, that person would then stop helping Miyuki, and left the group with excuses. At the end, everyone was gone, except for Hajime and Miyuki, who had no idea what was happening. But in order to uncover the true identity of the mysterious sender and his motivation, they had to solve the puzzles, even without any help.
