Takashi Senke is one of Hajime Kindaichi's closest friends from kindergarten, just like Sota Murakami. He used to be a suspect in Head Hanging School Murder Case, but was proven innocent by his best friend. In Murder in the Forest of the Demon Dog, he, Kindaichi and Teppei Yao go to his parents' forest log cabin to camp, but he purposely burned it so they could go to the abandoned dog research facility inside the forest, so he could exact revenge on the members of the medical club that were here and that killed his girlfriend Rio Mizusawa. He is later arrested and waves Kindaichi one last goodbye.
