Head Hanging School Murder Case, alternatively titled No Noose is Good Noose is the eighth case in Kindaichi Case Files: File Series.
Story[]
Coaxed into applying for a cram school that is advertised for guaranteeing students' success rate at entering prodigious post-second-education institutions, Kindaichi, with Miyuki in tow, enters the school in question to submit their respective report cards in the hope of being accepted in the school. While there, the math teacher, who oversees Kindaichi's and Miyuki's report cards, accepts them both, though with one condition for Kindaichi, which is to catch the perpetrator of a prank, providing a photo image as a clue. Kindaichi accepts the condition, unaware that the prank would be a mere prelude for a serial murder case.
Students were found successively dead by hanging themselves. What is the connection between this vengeful serial murder case and the suicide of Mitsuru Fukamachi a year ago and the mass suicide fifty years ago?

Author's Comment[]
In the series of Young Kindaichi, the culprit alias is essential. A lot of people said this is the scariest case in the entire series of Young Kindaichi. I don't know because of that reason this case didn't get an anime adaptation. Perhaps, the reason is this case didn't suite to become an anime.
Trivia[]
- Utako Mori's name came from the anagram of "Komoriuta."
- This is one of two cases from File Series that haven't get any anime adaptation, along with the Western-style Village Murder Case.
