The Files of Young Kindaichi: Fifth Generation (2022) (五代目の金田一少年の事件簿 Goudaime no Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo) is a live-action series based on the manga series of the same name by Seimaru Amagi, Yozaburo Kanari, and Fumiya Sato, starring by Shunsuke Michieda as the fifth generation of Hajime Kindaichi. It was produced and aired on Japan's national broadcast NTV from April 24, 2022. It was the first live-action series of Young Kindaichi that was Internationally scheduled to air on the Disney+.
Summary[]
The Files of Young Kindaichi consists of an unknown number of episodes, each of them is a loose adaptation of one of the Files of Young Kindaichi's main stories. Episode 1 is initially featured in the story arc of the manga School's Seven Mysteries Murder Case. It makes this story arc the first arc adapted to live-action twice. The whole series initially features the older and the newest story arc of the main story arc of Young Kindaichi.
Actor Shunsuke Michieda, who is also an idol coming from Japanese boyband Naniwa Danshi, stars in the series as the fifth generation of Hajime Kindaichi. He will join the film alongside actress Moka Kamishiraishi who plays the character of Miyuki Nanase. Actor Ikki Sawamura is also confirmed to portray the role of Isamu Kenmochi while idol and actor Taisho Iwasaki from B-Shonen boy band plays the role of Ryuta Saki.
