Treasure Island Murder Case, alternatively titled Treasure Isle, is the fifth case in Kindaichi Case Files : File Series.
In Japanese, this case is called 秘宝島殺人事件 (Hihou-tou Satsujin Jiken).
Story[]
One summer day. A test was held to bet on the right to participate in the Hiho Island Treasure Hunt Tour. One passed brilliantly. Miyuki, who failed the exam, was told by Hajime's mother that those who were there when they found the treasure also have the right to it, and accompanied him as his partner.
Eventually, the ship arrived at Hiho Island, a small island in Hyuga Nada, Miyazaki Prefecture. Upon arriving at the main cottage, Midori calls her father (the owner of the island), but he is nowhere to be seen.
Then, the dismembered corpse of Mimasaka's owner is found in the wall clock in the hall. Furthermore, although the number of tour guests invited by Mimasaka's owner was supposed to be six (excluding Miyuki), the number of tour guests who actually participated was seven.
The uninvited 7th tour guest, the "uninvited guest," approaches the members of the treasure hunting tour.
