Wataru Tokito (時任 亘) is an editor of Kamidakawa Publishing company and one of the victims in Murder Committed by Young Kindaichi.

Tokito has a perfect sales smile and is humble with everyone. Even when he met Kindaichi for the first time, he bowed his head while presenting his business card, but he also has an unexpectedly dark side by him calls the company immediately after Kindaichi is taken away, implying he's an opportunist.
He is summoned to a construction site in Jimbocho by the criminal who pretends to be the police, and misunderstands that Hajime, who happened to appear there, is the caller. He don't believe him at all when he says, "I just want to hear what he has to say," and hits him with an iron pipe, but for some reason, he stumbles and fails. Immediately after delivering a message while being frightened, he was crushed by an avalanche of steel frames broken by the criminal and died.
