Yang Xiaolong (Simplified Chinese: 杨 小龙 Yáng Xiǎolóng) is a member of a famous Chinese circus group, and was first introduced in 'Shanghai Mermaid Legend Murder Case'.
Due to lack of alibi, he was accused of killing his own father, but was later saved by Kindaichi, which resulted in a strong friendship between the two. He also appears in 'Massacre of Deep Blue' murder case. Xiao long is a strong, friendly and good natured young man. He is also very adept in martial arts("Drunken fist") and is rather heroic, being more concerned about others than himself.

At first, Xiaolong is both rude and racist towards Hajime and Miyuki as per the old stigma that all Japanese people who come to China only cause trouble. It's after he got saved by Kindaichi from being arrested that he learns that not all Japanese has malicious intent.
He loves his stepsister Yang Lili. His feelings is not as a brother to sister, but rather a man to a woman. In other words, he actually likes his stepsister. Even after the reveal, he still considers her as family and give her a visit. At the end of the case, he and Hajime become close friends.
In Young Kindaichi's Trip of Death Preparedness, he willing to help Hajime of being accused of two murders and one attempted murder, showing his loyalty and friendship as unbreakable.
