Young Boy's Retaliation is first case in Spin-Off Inspector Akechi Case Files. This case taken place in Tokyo after Akechi come back from Los Angeles.
Story[]
Ryutaro Kobayashi, a new detective in the First Investigative Division, catches a high school boy who is shoplifting at Suginoko Bookstore red-handed. However, Yohei Kijima, a high school boy, did not have anything stolen anywhere. Kengo Akechi, the inspector of the First Investigative Division who heard the news, saw through Kijima's plot without difficulty, and the case was successfully resolved.
However, Kijima was arrested and soon released. Kijima's father was a big-time politician, and he pressured the police to cover up his son's shoplifting behavior. Kobayashi, who touched on the darkness of the police organization, felt resentment and tried to capture Kijima, prepared to defy the organization's policy for the sake of the bookstore manager Madoka Sugino, who suffered damage. Akechi also decided to capture Kijima in a way that no one would complain about, in order to stick to the "justice" in himself.
However, the next day, the Suginoko Bookstore was set on fire as if to ridicule the two.
