Young Kindaichi's Trip of Death Preparedness is the seventh and last case in Kindaichi Case Files : Case Series.
Story[]
Yoichi Takato has released the Count of Mount Cristo from the underground place of the hotel ruins in Hongkong and lets him kill those who sealed him there. Meanwhile, Kindaichi saw the announcement of Magic Show in Hongkong held by the Maskman. Kindaichi was sure that the Maskman is his archenemy, Takato, and then goes to Hongkong with Miyuki, Ryuji, and Itsuki. But, after the show, Kindaichi missing and was found in the old building hotel of King Dragon Hotel along with a murdered woman.
Kindaichi became the prime suspect of that murder but, Li Bo Er, his fellow policeman from Shanghai who becomes the police in-charge in these cases was believed in Kindaichi. Unfortunately, after that Li, Miyuki and Ryuji were called to the old building once again to witnessed Kindaichi stabbing Akechi. Kindaichi becomes a fugitive and tries to solve the case by himself.

Cases[]
One day, Kamiyama held confession to Takato who disguised as the priest in unnamed church about his crime that had imprisoned someone in the hotel ruins in Hongkong. Takato knows that facts and then killed him. After that, Takato went to that hotel ruins to free the Count of Mount Cristo and make an agreement to killed Kamiyama's friend and supporting Takato after then.
Meanwhile, Itsuki showed Kindaichi an announcement of the magic show in Hongkong and suspected that the Maskman was Takato.
