Yumi Himeno (姫野 優未 (ひめの ゆうみ) Himeno Yumi) is a teacher at Shuo High School. She's a supporting character in Young Takato Case File and Kengo Akechi's Student Case Files.

Yumi Himeno is a music teacher at Shuo High School and an adviser to the magic club. She is a natural beauty who doesn't wear make-up, keeps her maternal smile, and interacts with her students naturally. She takes an interest in Takato's mysterious atmosphere, and for some reason she reaches out to open Takato's heart, which tends to be isolated from his surroundings. She has a close relationship with Akechi, who was a perfect student four years prior, and knows about his activities as a detective ("The First Case of Young Akechi", which was also set at Shuo High School).

- The name Yumi means "excellence, superiority, gentleness" (優) (yu) and "un-, not yet, hitherto, still, even now, sign of the ram, 1-3PM, eighth sign of Chinese zodiac" (未) (mi).
- Yumi's surname Himeno means "princess" (姫) (hime) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).
