Zenji Kagitani is the Chief Designer of Kimisawa's Men's.
Appearance[]
Kagitani has a long dark brown hair, black eyes with glasses and fair skin (slightly tanned in the anime). He wears a lime colored suit over a yellow shirt and diamond patterend magenta tie.
Personality[]
He is a friendly and talkative person. Although a nice guy, but he talks too much, babbling to outsiders such as Kindaichi and Miyuki about Naoko being Yurie's ghost even though he said himself that it's the company's secret.
Kagitani came to Nagano to help with the ladies' fashion show despite being the chief men's designer. Kimisawa brand seems to be more centered on ladies, and it seems that compared to the busy ladies' staff, the men's division were quite free. He explained about the competition that "depends on the situation, the fate of the brand is decided'', so it's possible that the men who don't have anything to do needed to be there just in case, but Suzy who attacked Naoko stopped by Kagitani and tells her to not do anything stupid as it won't change anything.
According to Masumi, he is "a good person, but there are things I don't know what he's thinking."

- In the anime, he replaces the role of explaining burial silver coin to Kindaichi from Sébastien Maigret, as Maigret didn't make an appearance in the anime.
